Reviewing Draft Content in the App

You should periodically review your content to ensure that it's accurate and that the content appears as expected in the context of the Bloomberg Connects app. You can preview how your guide looks in the app using internal mode.

Reviewing Your First Draft

Normally, you can only see the live version of your guide in the Bloomberg Connects mobile app. If you want to review the formatting, layout, and experience of content in your draft before you launch your live guide, you can use the app's internal mode.

After your guide's launch, you can also use the app's internal mode to switch from the live version to the draft version to review subsequent updates. For more, see Switching to a Draft in the App.

If you and your colleagues all need to review a draft, each person must log in to internal mode on their own device by following the instructions below.

Steps

  1. On the Explore screen, in the top right corner, tap the settings icon.

  2. In the Settings menu that appears, towards the bottom of the screen, tap Legal and More.

  3. Tap Internal Mode.

  4. Log in to your Bloomberg Connects account using your CMS login credentials and the two-factor authentication code.

You are logged in to internal mode. The guide(s) to which you have edit access appear.

  5. Under the Versions header, tap your guide to launch the draft version.

The draft version of your guide opens. If you want to make changes and see the impact on your guide in real time, you can refresh each screen. For more, see Refreshing Your Draft in Internal Mode.

Refreshing Your Draft in Internal Mode

Internal mode lets you preview the experience a visitor will have with your guide, so it's important that you can quickly see the impact of edits you make in the CMS and understand how it changes the look and feel.

When you're logged into internal mode, a refresh icon appears at the top of each screen of your guide. Tap the refresh icon to see the latest changes from your CMS.

Any updates to the screen, including new text, media, and formatting, appear in your guide.
