Review draft content in the app

While you work, you should periodically review your content to make sure that it's accurate and that the everything appears as expected. You can preview how your draft content looks in the Bloomberg Connects app using internal mode.

If you and your colleagues all need to review draft content, each person must log in to internal mode on their own device.

Tip: The app's internal mode is the best way to see the final visitor experience, but for fast internal reviews and layout checks, you can use the in-browser preview right from the CMS.

Review draft content during onboarding

You can review the formatting, layout, and overall experience of your content before you launch your guide.

For more on previewing draft content after launch, see the Review draft content after launch section of this article.

Note: During onboarding, your guide is completely hidden from visitors. Internal mode lets you preview all the content in your CMS—published content and draft content. To reduce confusion about what visitors will see when your guide launches, only add content to your home screen and map after it's published.

Steps

  1. On the Explore screen, tap the settings icon.

  2. In the Settings menu that appears, tap Legal and More.

  3. Tap Internal Mode.

  4. Log in to your Connects account with your CMS login credentials and the two-factor authentication code.

  5. Go back to the Explore screen to open your guide.

Your guide opens. You can review your draft or published content by opening content from the home page or map, searching, or using a lookup number.

If you want to make changes in the CMS and see the impact on your guide in real time, you can refresh each screen in the app.

You're automatically logged out of internal mode after 24 hours.
