Project Lead
Every great team needs a project lead to guide the process from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Attend all onboarding meetings
- Learn the CMS and understand how to build a guide
- In some organizations this portion of the project is taken on by a different team member, but the lead should understand the basics
- Gather the assets needed for the guide (e.g., photos, audio files, text)
- Manage the overall project timeline
- Coordinates with all internal teams
- Liaise with the Bloomberg Connects team
Traits of a strong project lead
- Understands your organization’s top level mission and goals OR has access to someone who does
- Is aware of the vision and goals for the guide
- Knows people across the organization who can provide information, assets, stories, etc.
- Is infectiously enthusiastic about launching your digital guide!
Potential Teammates
Consider including the following people when strategizing and building your guide.
- Executive Director/Leadership
- Set a vision for the guide and share a welcome message.
- Content Experts (e.g., Curatorial/Artistic Director/Chief Horticulturalist/Chief Zoologist)
- Provide content (artwork, captions, etc.) and share stories and context.
- Visitor Experience/Docents/Security
- Provide FAQs, personal reflections, and be guide ambassadors.
- Education/Interpretation
- Create interpretive material, suggest tours and audience-specific content, and share their voice.
- Students
- Help build your guide and create/curate content.
- Legal/Rights Management
- Handle rights and clearance issues for guide content.
- Marketing/Social Media/Digital/Communications
- Provide content ideas, repurpose existing content, and promote the guide once live.
- Facilities/Operation
- Provide floorplans for your map.
- Artists/Performers
- Share their stories and voices.

- Provide their perspectives on your institution and highlight their favorite works on view.
