Adding Your Organization Description

On the About page, you can add your organization description. Think of the description as your organization's "elevator pitch." It should provide a very brief introduction to what your organization is all about. In the app, your organization description appears in two places: on the Start Guide screen that appears immediately after a visitor opens your guide from the Explore screen and on the Info tab inside your guide.

  • Keep it concise (2-3 sentences/50-100 words).
    • What kind of stuff do you have? What kinds of programming do you present? What is a unique and tempting way to make visitors want to know more?  
  • Mission statements can inform this text, but it’s generally not recommended to simply cut and paste a mission statement here as they can be lengthy and in some cases a bit austere.
  • Consider using this section to also provide quick links to social media and/or newsletter signup.
  • If you want to provide more detailed information or mission-related text, consider creating an Item called "About Us" and linking to that Item from your home screen.
