Featured Update

Easily Explore Organizations Nearby

The Explore screen has been redesigned to put the organizations closest to you at the top of the list.

What does this mean for you?

Your organization image is your first chance to make an impression and draw people in. It’s a great opportunity to represent your mission, and we suggest a dynamic view of onsite activities, your most-loved collection item, or an eye-catching shot of your building. You can update your organization image at any time on the Info (Start Guide) page of the CMS.

Since anyone on site at your organization sees your guide at the top of the list, we’ve retired the entrypoint that used to appear for people connected to your Wi-Fi network.

And of course, people can continue to search, filter, and use the map to discover organizations near and far, so you don’t need to worry if your organization doesn’t have a physical address.

Stay tuned for related changes to the CMS, coming soon.

What's New in the CMS

  • Exhibitions and Tours now include a Timezone field to ensure that the display period dates appear correctly in the app.
  • "Spanish (United States)" is now "Spanish (Latin America)".
  • Guides that launched after February 1, 2024 no longer have access to the legacy Usage report, since all available data is included in the new Data Dashboard. If you launched after Feb 1 but still require the Usage report, reach out to your partnership manager.
  • The Items, Botanical Items, and media grids have a new column called Included In, so you can easily see where the assets are used.
  • Small visual updates and messaging improvements to improve clarity and consistency.

Bug Fixes in the CMS

  • Addressed reports that filtering by titles found in the Included In column wasn't working on the Items and media grids.

What's New in the App

  • Now, when adding or editing an audio file, what you enter in the CMS is what you see in the app. Notably, when you leave the Description field blank in the CMS, a description does not appear in the app at all. Previously, a default audio description appeared (“Hear more about this item”) (app version 3.50.0). For more, see Audio Files > Audio Display in the App.
  • Small visual updates throughout (app version 3.50.0).

Bug Fixes in the App

  • Addressed reports that changes made to content in the CMS were not immediately reflected in the app. Now, when you save a change in the CMS, you should see the updated content immediately reflected in either your live guide or, if editing and reviewing a draft, after tapping the refresh icon (app version 3.50.0).
  • Addressed reports of the share icon not appearing in guides. The icon now appears as expected for guides that have social sharing enabled (app version 3.50.0).
