Uncover Insights with Your New Data Dashboard

With the Data Dashboard page in the CMS, it’s easier to understand your guide’s reach and make data-driven choices about what content to prioritize next.

Using the intuitive, interactive tiles, you can answer questions like:

  • How many people have taken our self-guided Highlights Tour?
  • Do my visitors tend to listen to an entire audio clip, or do they drop off after a certain time?
  • Are people using the lookup numbers posted on our wall signs to find Items in the guide?

For more on using the dashboard, see Data Dashboard Overview.

What's New in the CMS

  • You can easily see where your Items and Botanical Items are used, right from the content grids. A new Included In column displays the names of Exhibitions and/or Tours that contain each Item.
  • You can now generate Lookup QR codes for Events, so you can point visitors to additional information in your guide from signs in your physical space.
  • More consistent save confirmation messages on the Home page.
  • Small updates to the file names of QR codes downloaded from the CMS make it easier to match the codes to your content. For more, see Lookup Numbers and QR Codes > Lookup QR Codes.

Bug Fixes in the CMS

  • When cropping an image, the crop box must stay inside the image borders and cannot include any of the gray background area. A better error message makes it easier for you to adjust your image crop and save changes.

What's New in the App

  • On the Explore screen, the category filter label is now called Filter (app version 3.48.0).
  • A few small interaction updates to move towards conformance with WCAG v2.2 guidelines (app version 3.48.0).

Bug Fixes in the App

  • Addressed reports that Exhibition dates were not appearing correctly for app users based outside the U.S. and were sometimes showing today's date as both the start and end date. Now, Exhibition dates appear correctly for everyone (app version 3.48.0).
  • Addressed reports that tapping into Tour Stops from the text version of the map pulled up unexpected Item details. Now, tapping into a Tour Stop from the map or text view shows the right content (app version 3.48.0).
  • Addressed reports that users could not navigate to an Event from an Item’s Related section (app version 3.48.0).
  • Improved stability for the Map tab (app version 3.48.0).
  • Addressed reports that some Tour location pins did not appear on exterior maps (app version 3.48.0).
  • Addressed reports of incorrect location information on the Explore screen when searching for a multi-location organization. The Explore screen now shows the correct location(s) for all organizations (app version 3.47.0).
  • Addressed reports of a white line appearing under images in Explore screen sections, even if the images were properly cropped. This line no longer appears (app version 3.47.0).
  • Addressed reports of extra spaces and line breaks in content descriptions, so the formatting you see in the CMS matches the formatting you see in the app (app version 3.47.0).
  • On Android devices, the app now consistently respects the user's screen orientation preferences and will not switch between landscape and portrait mode if one of the orientations is locked (app version 3.47.0).
  • Improved the overall app stability when accessing the map via a Show on Map button (app version 3.47.0).
  • Ensured consistent and predictable navigation when moving from an Item's Related section to a Tour (app version 3.47.0).
