What's New in the CMS
- You can download QR codes for Items and Exhibitions, which can be added to your on-site signs as an alternative to lookup numbers. Additionally, all QR codes, including promotional QR codes provided by your Bloomberg Connects marketing contact, now have a transparent background, so they look good on any surface. For more on generating QR codes, see Lookup Numbers and QR Codes > Lookup QR Codes.
- You can now replace existing image files with new files, without changing supporting information like caption or alt text. It works just like replacing audio or video files. For more, see Replacing Media Files.
- Some error messages are now more specific and helpful, like the ones you might see on the login screen or when media files are processed.
- In the guide export file, small changes provide more consistency with what you see elsewhere in the CMS and in the app. For example, we replaced the word “exhibit” with “exhibition” and added creator life dates where appropriate.
- Bulk upload supports the upload of media stored in in public Google Drive folders.
- You might notice some other tweaks and added polish here and there.
What's New in the App
A few small improvements to the maps make it easier for visitors to identify the objects around them and move through your space. Updates include:
- The map automatically shifts and pans so the content card and floor switcher never cover the selected pin.
- The content cards for pinned Items now include the Creator name.
- The list view now includes images.
Browse guides by category! With so many guides on the app, the Explore screen has gotten a little overwhelming. That’s why we developed a new feature grouping guides by category. Whether they’re looking for contemporary art or botanic gardens, it’s now easier than ever for visitors to find new guides to explore. We’ve already assigned relevant categories to all guides on the app—but if we’ve made a mistake, please reach out to your partnership manager.
