Preview changes in your browser
You can quickly review the impact of content changes and layout adjustments by previewing updates in your browser while you work.
Preview your full guide
To open a preview of your entire guide, in the upper left corner of the CMS, click Preview Guide.
Your guide's home page opens in a new tab, so you can click around and test the experience. As you work, refresh the tab to pull in the latest changes.
Note: The in-browser preview includes draft content and published content. To more closely simulate the visitor experience, remove all draft content from your home screen and map.
To preview your guide's Info screen, log in to the app's internal mode.
Preview content
You can preview a specific piece of content to check how it will look when published.
To preview draft content, on the content grid, click the preview icon.
The content opens in a new tab. As you work, refresh the tab to pull in the latest changes.
Recommendations
- In-browser preview is perfect for fast internal reviews and early feedback, but the app’s internal mode remains the best way to see the final visitor experience. Together, these two preview options make your workflow smoother and more efficient.
- The in-browser preview mirrors the mobile web experience, so certain features (like Tours and QR code scanning) are not available. You can ignore the banner that appears at the bottom of the preview; in the mobile web experience, this banner encourages people to download the app.
- Don't send the preview link to your colleagues, since it will only work if they’re already logged in to the CMS. Encourage your colleagues to log in and open the preview themselves.
- Don't use the preview link in your promotional materials. Instead, for trackable links that you can add to your website or newsletter, download a promotional QR code and link.
