Asset Guidelines
Use the guidelines below to ensure that all media assets you upload to the CMS are optimized for the Bloomberg Connects app.
Media Files
The following guidelines apply to media that you add to the CMS for use in Items, Events, Tours, and Exhibitions.
For all media files, upload the highest quality file you have. There is no maximum limit on file size for uploaded media. All media is re-encoded during the upload and is resized for delivery in the app.

Brand Assets
The following guidelines apply to the images you add to the CMS to bring your organization's custom branding to your guide.
Organization Image
The organization image is your first opportunity to make an impression on your guide’s users. It appears in several places, including in the list of guides on the Explore screen.
Requirements
- Minimum dimensions: 1290 pixels (w) x 796 pixels (h)
- Supported file types: JPEG or PNG
Recommendations
- Highlight a unique, compelling, or recognizable feature of your space;
- Showcase marquee content; OR
- Convey your vivid on-site experience, events, or programming
Square Logo
The square logo appears next to your organization’s name on the Explore screen.
Requirements
- Minimum dimensions: 315 x 315 pixels
- Supported file types: JPEG or PNG
Rectangular Logo
The rectangular logo appears at the top of your guide’s Home screen.
Requirements
- Minimum dimensions: 970 pixels (w) x 550 pixels (h)
- Supported file types: JPEG, PNG or SVG
- Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) files are image files with transparent backgrounds that can scale and look clean at any display size.
Recommendations
- Use landscape orientation
- Use a transparent background
- Upload the highest resolution possible
Splash Screen
The splash screen provides a visual transition from the Explore screen to your guide.
Full-Screen Image
Requirements:
- Minimum dimensions: 1290 pixels (w) x 2796 pixels (h)
- Supported file types: JPEG or PNG
Splash Logo
The optional splash logo is overlaid on your full-screen image.
Requirements:
- Minimum dimensions: 970 pixels (w) x 550 pixels (h)
- Supported file types: JPEG, PNG or SVG
- Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) files are image files with transparent backgrounds that can scale and look clean at any display size.
Recommendations:
- Use landscape orientation
- Choose a color that contrasts with the image to ensure readability
- Use a transparent background
- Upload the highest resolution possible
