Introduction to Maps

You can add maps of your buildings and grounds to help visitors find points of interest and navigate your physical space.

From an object's detail screen, visitors can tap Show on Map to see where to find the object.

Visitors can tap the Map tab at the bottom of your guide for a high-level overview of your space or tap the Show on Map button from a piece of content to home in on that specific object. For more on the difference between these two experiences, see Map Visibility.

Several levels of map granularity are available:

  • Exterior Map: If your facility has outdoor areas or more than one building within a single complex, add an exterior map to provide a macro view of the space. For more, see Exterior Maps.
  • Buildings: Represent each building or structure at your facility. For more, see Buildings.
  • Floor Maps: Within each building, add floor maps to help visitors understand the layout. For more, see Floor Maps.
  • Pins: To help visitors locate content in your physical space, add pins to represent specific locations and attach content to a pin. For more, see Map Pins.

Maps help visitors find the content and facilities they care about, so you only need to include buildings, floors, and spaces with visitor access. The Bloomberg Connects Marketing team can help you gray out inaccessible areas of your map.
